A thread lift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that may assist with mild skin laxity in selected areas of the face. At Injex Clinics, your consultation is used to assess your skin, discuss your concerns, explain potential risks and determine whether thread lifting is suitable for you.

Thread lifting involves the placement of medical threads beneath the skin by a qualified practitioner. The threads are positioned to support selected facial areas and may assist with mild skin laxity over time.
Unlike PDO threads, which are generally used more superficially to support collagen stimulation, a thread lift uses longer threads that are placed and anchored to provide a lifting effect in suitable candidates. You can learn more about PDO threads here.
A consultation is required to assess your skin quality, treatment goals, medical history and suitability before any treatment plan is recommended.
Some clients may notice an initial lifting effect after treatment, with further changes developing over the following weeks to months as collagen production occurs. The timing, degree and duration of results vary between individuals.
Common short-term effects may include swelling, bruising, tenderness or tightness in the treated area. Your practitioner will explain expected recovery, aftercare and potential risks during your consultation.

A thread lift is a non-surgical procedure where long threads are placed sub-dermally and anchored at various points and tightened causing a physical lifting of the skin & tissue. PDO threads are ‘floating’ threads. They are not anchored and placed much more superficially to stimulate the body’s own collagen & elastin. They are placed in a manner that helps rebuild the structure of the underlying tissue resulting in a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, they can provide some lift but it is generally minimal in relation to a traditional thread lift.
The effects of a thread lift typically last 2+ years. The threads are made of Poly-L-Lactic acid which is a biostimulator that stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin.
