Causes: A common outcome of inflammation such as acne, bites, burns or trauma. It is not technically a scar, but a pigment response to skin injury.
Treatment Considerations: While PIHP may fade over time, targeted treatments like Curas laser, chemical peels, LED light therapy and Skinjex brightening products can help accelerate clearance and even out skin tone.
This depends on the type and depth of scarring. Atrophic or pitted acne scars respond well to skin needling, Secret RF, or CO2 laser. A personalised skin consultation is recommended to determine the most appropriate approach.
Most people benefit from a series of 3 to 6 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. However, this varies based on scar severity and treatment method.
