What happens during your first consultation

During the initial consultation, our practitioners will assess whether you’re a suitable candidate for jawline sculpting. They will:

  • Check your skin type, facial anatomy and medical history, including an assessment of any medications you’re currently taking.
  • Consider your personal expectations and emotional preparedness for the entire process to gauge whether the treatment is the right fit for you.
  • Discuss your desired outcomes and develop an individualised treatment plan that aligns with your expectations.
  • Explain the treatment in detail, including downtime, recovery and any potential risks or side effects.
  • Answer any questions and address concerns to ensure you feel informed and confident moving forward.

This treatment is not suitable for those who are:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Diagnosed with epilepsy, cancer, porphyria or enzyme disorders
  • Have autoimmune disorders
  • Prone to develop keloid scarring
  • Allergic to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine or latex

Should this treatment not be the most appropriate choice for you, we will provide recommendations for alternative options. FAQs

.

This treatment is designed to enhance the structure of the jawline by addressing age-related volume loss, under-chin fullness and sagging jowls. During your initial consultation, our qualified practitioners will evaluate your facial structure and health profile to determine your suitability for the treatment and whether it aligns with your expectations.

With age, the skin’s production of collagen and elastin naturally decreases. This can cause the jawline to lose volume and firmness, leading to loose jowls and reduced facial definition.

Jawline sculpting works by restoring volume to achieve a more proportionate, defined and slim jawline.

If you’re eligible for the treatment, jawline sculpting helps enhance the appearance of your jawline without the need for surgical intervention. It can assist with:

  • Restoring lost jawline volume and structure caused by ageing
  • Minimising under-chin fullness
  • Defining and enhancing jawline contours
  • Creating a wider, more angular lower face if desired
  • Sculpting a slimmer, tapered jawline if preferred

Yes, jaw sculpting helps conceal or reduce the appearance of jowls, which balances the proportions of a fuller face. It also creates a sharper jawline that provides structure and gives the appearance of a slimmer facial structure.

The results of the treatment typically last between six and 12 months, though in some cases, they may last years, depending on factors such as your age, skin type, metabolism and lifestyle habits.

Jawline augmentation is designed to refine your natural features while considering the distinct qualities of your face. It’s important to understand that no cosmetic treatment can guarantee perfect symmetry. Our practitioners will guide you through the process and explain what results can realistically be achieved.

Here’s what to do before the treatment:

  • Discontinue the use of blood-thinning medications and supplements, such as aspirin, fish oil or vitamin E, at least two weeks in advance to help minimise the risk of bruising.
  • Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Book your treatment at least two weeks ahead of flying or any significant events to allow adequate time for recovery.

Here’s what to prepare on the day of your appointment:

  • Arrive a bit earlier to complete any required paperwork and allow time for the application of numbing cream before your session.
  • Ensure your skin is clean and free from makeup or active skincare products before the treatment.

After the treatment, we’ll advise you to:

  • Not touch or apply pressure on the treated area for at least three days.
  • Avoid touching, picking or scratching the treatment site.
  • Not apply makeup for the rest of the day following your treatment.
  • Skip cosmeceutical skincare products with active ingredients such as retinol, AHAs or vitamin C for at least a week.
  • Protect the treated area by avoiding sun exposure, UV light, extreme cold or hot saunas for up to two weeks.
  • Limit intense physical activities or strenuous exercise that results in sweating for 24 hours.
  • Gently apply a cold compress for short intervals, about 15 minutes at a time, to help reduce swelling if needed.
