Brow Lift

As we age, the skin and muscles around the eyes gradually stretch and weaken, leading to volume loss and drooping in the eyebrows and upper eyelids. This can create a sunken or hollow appearance around the eyes. A non-surgical brow lift may assist in enhancing the contours of the upper face, helping to rebalance asymmetries and address age-related volume loss and fine lines.
Schedule a consultation with our practitioners today to determine whether you’re a suitable candidate for a non-surgical brow lift in Brisbane.

Initial consultation and assessment

Before undergoing any treatment, a thorough consultation is essential to assess your suitability. Our skilled practitioners will assess your facial anatomy, skin type, medical history, current medications and psychological readiness for the treatment.

We’ll discuss your skin concerns and desired results as well as cover possible side effects, recovery duration and realistic outcomes. If this treatment isn’t right for you, we’ll recommend alternative options that may better match your needs and circumstances.

Please note that if you’re considered eligible for the treatment, results may vary per individual. Outcomes depend on several factors, including your metabolism, facial features, treatment type and lifestyle.

This treatment may not be performed on individuals who:

  • Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Have been diagnosed with epilepsy, cancer, porphyria or enzyme disorders.
  • Suffer from autoimmune conditions.
  • Are prone to developing keloid scars.
  • Have known sensitivities to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine or latex.

What to do before and after a non-surgical brow lift

Here are key steps to follow before and after your appointment. Your practitioner will provide more detailed guidelines to ensure the best results:

Before your treatment

Preparation starts as early as a few weeks before your session. To reduce the risk of bruising, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements such as aspirin, fish oil and vitamin E at least two weeks prior. In addition, don’t consume alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment to prevent swelling. On the day of your treatment, arrive with a clean, makeup-free face to minimise the risk of infection.

After the treatment

Healing from facial volume treatments is a gradual process, and proper aftercare is key to ensuring optimal results. After your session, refrain from applying makeup for the rest of the day to minimise irritation. Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for at least three days.

For the first 24 hours, avoid activities that may lead to excessive sweating. Stay away from direct sunlight, saunas and extreme temperatures. If you experience swelling, a cold compress can be applied for 15 minutes each hour on the treated area to help reduce discomfort.

Hold off on using cosmeceuticals with active ingredients like retinol, AHAs or vitamin C for at least a week. Wait at least two weeks before flying to minimise the risk of swelling or bruising.

Potential risks and complications

A non-surgical eyebrow lift is a minimally invasive option, but as with any treatment, it comes with potential risks. While most side effects are minor, more serious complications can occasionally occur.

Some possible reactions include:

  • Allergic reactions or infections
  • Bruising, swelling or tenderness around the treated area
  • Mild irritation or itching following the treatment
  • Small bumps under the skin that usually settle on their own
  • A slight numbing or tingling sensation
  • Temporary skin discolouration
  • Vision loss

If you notice ongoing discomfort, swelling or any unexpected symptoms lasting more than 48 hours, contact us and seek medical attention right away.

FAQs

.

You can opt for a non-surgical brow lift — they can potentially help restore lost volume and enhance the contour of your upper face.

The results of a non-surgical brow lift typically last between six to 12 months, though for some individuals, they can extend between two to five years. Duration varies based on individual factors.

This treatment can address the following concerns:

  • Mild to moderate skin laxity in the brow area and upper face
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Slight hooding of the upper eyelid

As the body ages, it gradually produces less collagen and elastin — essential proteins responsible for keeping skin tight and resilient. This natural decline can result in loose skin and the formation of creases and fine lines.

A non-surgical eyebrow lift helps replenish volume, softening the appearance of wrinkles and enhancing the contour of the brow area. It may also help create a more balanced facial structure and give the eyes a more open and alert appearance.
