How big will my lips get?

We start slow with our lip volume treatments, slowly building them up over time. We work with you from the beginning to get an idea of the look you are going for, and to make sure the results you want are achievable. Browse some before and after photos here.

Are lip volume treatments permanent? What if I don’t like the outcome?

Our lip volume treatments are not permanent and last between 6-8+ months. Although we do our best to ensure you love your new lips, removal of volume is possible with an enzyme that dissolves the product if necessary.

How long will my appointment take?

Most treatments take around 30 minutes.

What are the risks of lip volume treatments?

Although this is a common procedure, there are risks involved and, for this reason, it’s important to choose a clinic and practitioner that are reputable and experienced in this procedure. Do your research beforehand and don’t make your choice based on money alone. Serious risks, such as vascular occlusion are possible along with other risks such as infection and more.

What should I do before my appointment?

You can prepare for your appointment by staying hydrated in the lead up to your consultation. Avoid any blood thinners three days prior, such as pain killers, vitamin E and fish oil.

Does it hurt?

The pain you experience during treatment will depend on your individual pain threshold. Some people say it isn’t painful at all, whereas others experience more discomfort.  For your comfort you can use an over the counter numbing cream prior to your appointment. We also use a topical numbing cream before your procedure and the filler itself contains an anesthetic, so starts numbing straight away. You may choose to have your lips numbed before the procedure, your practitioner will discuss this with you during your consultation.

Will I experience swelling and bruising after lip volume treatment?

There may be some bruising or swelling after the treatment. To allow for the best recovery you can ice your lips intermittently and we recommend avoiding exercise or hot showers the day of your treatment.

Can lip volume treatment look natural? Will everyone know I have had lip volume treatment?

If it is a natural look you are after, your practitioner can help create a subtle look for you so that you can enjoy a natural result.
