Laser Pigmentation Removal

Laser Pigmentation Removal

Pigmentation comes in all forms, from freckles, sunspots, melasma, age spots and more! Pigmentation can develop as we age and if often caused by sun exposure. At Injex Clinics, we have 2 laser machines with a total of 3 different wavelengths to ensure correct treatment for the type of pigmentation you have.
Our laser pigmentation removal works to safely to reduce the appearances of all types of pigmentation without harming the surrounding tissues.

What is Laser Pigmentation Removal?

After assessing the skin and determining what type of pigmentation you have (sometimes it’s multiple types of pigmentation) a laser and wave length will be chosen to best treat your condition.  Using high powered beams of light and heat, the laser is able to penetrate the pigmented lesion shattering the pigment and bringing it to the surface.

FAQs

.

At the time of treatment mild discomfort will be felt. It feels like a hot rubber band snapping.  Post treatment, redness and heat will be present, but manageable.

We would recommend limiting sun exposure two weeks prior and wearing SPF 50+ sunscreen every day. To achieve the best results during your treatment, we’d also recommend using Vitamin A and Vitamin C serums to prepare your skin.

Yes, laser pigment removal is safe. At Injex, all our skin therapists are qualified to perform laser treatments on all skin types.

Sometimes, depending on the type of pigment and what laser and settings are used, there may be time where the area treated looks flaky and mild scabbing/flaking may appear. Often with laser, the pigment will darken as it moves closer to the surface before flaking off.

Again, this depends on the type of pigment and how it’s being treated.  We usually recommend 3 sessions for maximum results however more, or less, may be required.

After your first session, if you require an additional treatment, we recommend booking this 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment.

All areas of the body can be treated with our laser removal, but most clients will treat areas often exposed to the sun such as face, neck, décolletage and hands.
